This role leads global race strategy, manages key relationships with the FIA, ASO, and other international sanctioning bodies, oversees RZR Factory Race Team partnerships, and directs the design, development, and homologation of race vehicles to deliver class‑leading performance on the global stage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead cross-functional program team to develop RZR Race vehicles that meet project schedule, cost, quality, durability, performance and reliability requirements. Responsible for the overall success of the international race program.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Polaris’s international race program; partner with Dakar RZR Factory Race Teams on strategy, driver selection, vehicle refinements, and budget execution.
Act as technical delegate to the FIA and ASO, representing Polaris interests and influencing regulatory and class rule development.
Shape the Polaris Development Process (PDP) to fit race objectives, while ensuring that all requirements are clearly defined, documented, and achieved.
Partner with PG&A, sourcing, and EMEA business teams to develop and refine international sales channels through distributor networks.
Lead the integrated product team to deliver production‑ready race vehicles, managing supply base execution, feature development, and process innovation.
Monitor and manage the manufacturing, quality, and purchasing resources and activities on the team, to provide seamless coordination and issue resolution between all team members.
Support field development testing; analyze race and test issues and drive corrective actions.
Motivate the entire team and others affecting the program's success.
Support functional managers with budget planning and resource forecasting.
Partner with ORV Marketing team to plan and execute race-related marketing content.
Communicate program status, risks, and upcoming race plans to executive leadership.
Attend and support select international races (1-2 events per year)

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Required:
Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred Engineering or Technical degree
5+ years of program leadership or engineering project/design leadership experience in a related industry.
Strong technical foundation with the ability to lead complex, cross‑functional development programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to influence across organizations and build strong external partnerships.
Strong project planning, organizational, and execution skills.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive, results‑driven attitude.
Willingness to travel (approximately 20% total, to include ~15% international).
Preferred:
Racing background (professional, collegiate, or personal).
Riding experience and/or strong interest in powersports vehicles.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $104,000 to $137,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
