The Team
The Hitachi Digital (HD) Record-to-Report (R2R) team delivers RTR services supporting the Digital Infrastructure (DI), Digital Services (DS), and GlobalLogic businesses.
The team operates in a globally distributed shared services model and is led by the Service Delivery Senior Director based in Poland. Our scope covers end-to-end R2R processes, including General Ledger accounting, Fixed Assets accounting, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, journal entries (accruals, deferrals, and provisions), consolidation and group reporting, intercompany accounting, flux and variance analysis, management reporting, and support for statutory financial statements and local GAAP adjustments. The team also collaborates closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and AP/AR functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
The Role
This role will be responsible to handle majorly end to end Fixed Asset Accounting, Bank reconciliations of various bank accounts, preparing B/S reconciliations, GL accounting, support in month/quarter/year end closing and discussions with global accounting teams and provide audit support etc. for global entities.
Key Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Accounting:
- Manage additions, deletions, transfers and adjustments in the Oracle Fixed Assets module
- Run monthly depreciation and post accounting entries as per policy
- Ensure correct capitalization and classification of fixed assets
- Maintain detailed Fixed Asset Register (vendor, location, asset tag and useful life)
- Support periodic physical verification and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Ind AS requirements for fixed assets and intangibles
- Prepare and review fixed asset reconciliations and supporting schedules
Bank Reconciliations & General Accounting:
- Upload and import bank statements in ERP (Oracle CE module)
- Perform daily/weekly bank transaction matching and reconciliation
- Investigate unmatched transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with Payroll, AR, Intercompany and AP teams for unposted entries
- Post journal entries for bank charges, interest and fees
- Perform monthly bank balance reconciliations and adjustments
- Manage restricted cash and special account activities
- Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments and reclassifications
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and analyze variances
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Maintain proper supporting documentation for all entries
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related discipline; MBA (Finance/Operations) or CA-Inter preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in RTR activities including end-to-end fixed asset accounting, bank reconciliations, GL accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Proven ability to manage activities and deliver results within defined timelines as per the closing calendar in a shared services or global environment
- Hands-on experience in month-end close, audit coordination with multiple stakeholders, and compliance processes
- Exposure to ERP systems (Oracle preferred) with strong MS Excel skills
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English; additional European languages will be an advantage
