Role Overview:A Quote-to-Invoice (Q2I) Product Owner is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the sales and billing process, from the initial customer quote to the final payment and revenue recognition. This role bridges the gap between sales, finance, and engineering to ensure a seamless financial workflow.
Core Responsibilities
Vision & Strategy: Define the product vision for the Q2I stream, aligning it with company-wide financial and sales goals.
Backlog Management: Create, maintain, and prioritize a backlog of features (e.g., automated quoting, tax calculations, invoice templates) to maximize business value.
Workflow Optimization: Improve the efficiency of payment and billing workflows, reducing friction for both internal teams and customers.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between Sales (who generate quotes), Finance (who process invoices), and the Development team.
Requirement Definition: Translate complex financial or legal requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
Quality Assurance: Validate that released features correctly handle financial data, meet compliance standards, and fulfill user needs.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) or Quote-to-Invoice processes, including billing, revenue recognition, and payment gateway integrations.
Agile Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies to lead sprint planning and backlog refinement.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to use data and metrics (e.g., payment success rates, invoice processing time) to drive product decisions.
Communication: Exceptional ability to explain technical constraints to business stakeholders and business needs to technical teams.
Qualifications: Internship Program
Technical Acumen: Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP), CRM tools (including Salesforce), and payment processors is considered a valuable asset.
