Quotation Specialist

SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Quotation Specialist supports our national corporate accounts by cross-referencing customer provided information with our historical product data to identify market basket opportunities. This role ensures we have a sufficient margin on products that are price fixed for a specific time period.

JOB DUTIES

• Prepares the customer's data to fit within our system standards.
• Cross-references customer data with our market basket tool to pull historical cost data on products.
• Obtains quoted costs from suppliers.
• Submits finalized data to be reviewed.
• Maintains vendor email information within a contact list.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Reviews and manipulates customers' data in various Microsoft Applications.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree and zero (0) to three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Significant knowledge of Motion Industries product.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective proofreading skills.
• Service oriented.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
