Job Summary:**

The Quality Trainee (Lab) will support the Quality department by assisting with various laboratory testing procedures and data analysis to ensure product quality and adherence to Valeo standards. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain practical experience in a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Assist senior laboratory technicians and quality engineers in conducting a variety of material, component, and product tests according to established procedures and specifications.
* Prepare and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy before testing.
* Record and document test results meticulously, ensuring data integrity and adherence to quality management system requirements.
* Perform basic analysis of test data, identifying deviations or trends and escalating issues to appropriate personnel.
* Support the maintenance and organization of laboratory samples, equipment, and consumables.
* Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory and quality processes.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards within the laboratory environment.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance.
* Contribute to the creation and review of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to laboratory activities.
* Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing preventative maintenance as directed.

Job Qualifications:**

* Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a technical degree or bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Materials Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
* Basic understanding of quality control principles and laboratory testing methodologies.
* Familiarity with common laboratory equipment is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
* Knowledge of automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949) is an advantage but not required.
* Ability to work safely in a laboratory setting, adhering to all safety guidelines.
