Quality Technician (M/F/D)

Responsibilities: 

  • Quality first point of contact to Evaluate and decide the doubts that arise in the production process, in line with quality requirements 

  • Execute and ensure that quality documentation (control instructions, first-piece records, DAI, visual alerts, and others related to quality) is up to date 

  • Execute and ensure the follow-up of RAPID's and leading the cross-functional team to resolve 

effectively 

  • Responsible for analyzing laboratory reports (Control Plan) and following up in case of non-conformity. 

  • Responsible for the preparation of documentation for control plan audits and SPC. 

  • Responsible of training the production and Quality auditor in case of update or new implementation of documentation 

  • Support for training new quality auditors. 

  • Responsible for following up on control charts/SPC and, in case of non-compliance, following up on the action plan. 

  • Responsible for collecting system data and performing MSA's (Measurement System Analysis) to ensure product and 

  • process stability 

  • Execute statistical process to ensure the stability of manufacturing processes  

  • Responsible for executing R&R duties on the production line and analyze of the results 

  • Engage supplier quality team to proceed with the incoming inspection, when defect found on raw materials in 

  • accordance with internal procedures 

  • Support of validation of product in Machine qualification  

  • Perform 5S and LPAs Audits 

  • Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards. 

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety at work standards, policies and practices in accordance with their level of responsibility. 

  • Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule 

  • Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules 

  • Respect and comply with environmental policy rules.

  • Perform other duties and tasks on assigned special projects and assignments not included in the activity for which was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service. 

 

Requirements & Competencies 

Academic Background 

  • Technical Course or Bachelor’sa related technical area 

Professional Experience (Years and area) 

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in quality auditing, preferably within the automotive industry. 

Hard Skills  

  • Familiarity with industry standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001) (preferred) 

  • Good computer skills 

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawing  

  • Knowledge in solving industrial problems - 8D Methodology and 5Whys  

  • Understanding of quality tools (SPC, MSA, PFMEA and APQP). 

  • Experience using measurement instruments (steel ruler, caliper (inside and outside), micrometer, comparators, multimeter, screw thread micrometer, feeler gauge) and conducting inspections  

  • Fluent in Portuguese 

  • Fluent in English (is a plus)
