The Quality Technician applies detail and an adherence to process to ensure that product meets or exceeds the product and the customer requirements.  This is an individual contributor role reporting to quality leadership.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for all product quality inspection (new product and customer repairs) working closely with internal operations and external outsource entities to ensure requirements are met.
  • Responsible for performing soldering, cable assembly and sub-assembly build inspections.
  • Creates and maintains all product quality inspection documentation.
  • Performs all enhanced receive inspections required on incoming products to ensure it is acceptable for production.
  • Reviews all AS9102 FAIR documentation as per company process and ensures it is acceptable.
  • Support monitoring tools and test equipment calibration.
  • Assist with process mapping of local regional site to corporate site as required.
  • Assist in troubleshooting activities.
  • Support other functional areas during non-peak periods to ensure team success.
  • May assist with Debug of non-conforming Product / Material.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Canadian Citizenship required.
  • Must either hold or be able to obtain Government of Canada Security Clearance up to the Secret level and access to controlled goods.
  • Position requires a customer service-oriented individual, one who has great communication, analytical and attention to detail skills.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and SAP.
