Your role at Clorox:

The Business Quality Systems Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an effective and standardized Quality Management System (QMS) across all Food manufacturing sites. This role ensures compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. The manager leads audit readiness, manages customer quality requirements, drives continuous improvement, supports operational excellence, and fosters a culture of quality excellence and standardization throughout the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively implemented, maintained, and consistently applied across all food manufacturing sites.

  • Standardize QMS processes, procedures, and documentation to align with corporate quality requirements and food safety standards.

  • Monitor QMS performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain to embed quality and food safety into daily operations.

  • Manage customer and third-party audit requirements, including scheduling, documentation review, and site readiness activities.

  • Ensure all required records, SOPs, food safety plans, and compliance documentation are current and audit-ready.

  • Provide on-site and remote audit support to manufacturing locations to drive successful audit outcomes.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality system inquiries, expectations, and follow-up actions.

  • Provide oversight to ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and applicable food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, FSMA, GFSI, SQF/BRC, SGS).

  • Collaborate with site quality and food safety teams to verify required programs and controls are implemented and functioning effectively.

  • Lead quality system gap assessments and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) planning and execution for identified compliance issues.

  • Track, report, and follow up on compliance risks and improvement actions to ensure timely closure.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, Quality, or a related field.

  • 6+ years of quality systems or food safety experience in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of FDA regulations, FSMA Preventive Controls, and GFSI standards (e.g., SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000).

  • Experience planning, conducting, and supporting internal audits, as well as coordinating customer and third-party audits.

  • Proven ability to manage QMS documentation, perform gap assessments, and lead CAPA activities.

  • Effective cross-functional communication skills with the ability to support and influence operations across multiple manufacturing sites.

  • Proficiency with QMS tools and Microsoft Office, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $88,700 - $165,900

–Zone B: $81,300 - $152,100

–Zone C: $73,900 - $138,300
