Quality and Patient Safety Manager - Weill Cornell

As a key leader within our Quality team, you will:

  • Drive hospital-wide initiatives that improve patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team while fostering collaboration and evidence-based practices.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in quality improvement methodologies, safety event management, and regulatory compliance. The QPS Manager will support clinical and operational teams to drive continuous improvement, facilitate change, and ensure alignment of all quality, patient safety, regulatory, and accreditation activities with the hospital’s goals, and meet external accreditation requirements for ongoing certification.  

This is a full-time day shift position located at the NYP/Weill Cornell campus, with occasional travel to any campuses within our enterprise as needed.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s degree
  • Clinical licensure with hands-on practice or leadership experience in a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing complex projects, with a strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes
  • In-depth knowledge of hospital systems, Joint Commission standards, CMS guidelines, and DOH regulations
  • Expertise in patient safety protocols and quality improvement methodologies

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on quality and performance improvement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to present effectively to diverse audiences
