Quality & Patient Safety Coordinator – Behavioral Health – Full Time – Days – Weill Cornell

As a Quality & Patient Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving initiatives that strengthen a culture of safety across our Behavioral Health programs.

In this role, you will:

  • Implement key quality and patient safety programs through close collaboration with hospital executives, administrators, and department leaders.
  • Support daily departmental operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements, maintain event logs, and oversee spreadsheets, data entry, and data analysis.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings and develop presentation materials.
  • Track plans of correction and follow‑up items to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist in the review of patient safety events and monitor the implementation of safety processes and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain and protect confidential organizational information and patient‑level data with the highest level of integrity.

This position is based at NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center with potential travel to other NYP sites as needed. The role is full‑time, Monday–Friday.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline
  • At least 1-3 years of related experience
  • Project management experience
  • Data analysis experience

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Excellent writing and communication skills – possesses verbal and written skills to convey mission and purpose to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, and able to work with diverse community groups and multi-task.
