Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Quality Multi-Family Manager to support our Final Assembly/Finished Goods Inventory (FGI) team within 787 Quality in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages a high performing team of quality professionals

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

  • Provides education, leadership, and coaching on the Quality System

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports

  • Manages, develops, and motivates others

  • Exhibits Boeing Behaviors and Values

  • Possesses & influences a mindset of safety, quality & excellence

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience inspecting aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies for conformance with applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans

  • 5 years of experience leading process improvement activities that delivered measurable business results

  • Experience working and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of experience with workload management

  • 5 years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal role

  • Experience working directly with internal and external suppliers

  • Prior military related experience

  • A&P license
