Position Summary
Quality Manager is a management position into Life Time Property Development Construction department, based out of our Corporate Office. The position will work on commercial projects across all aspects of development, to ensure our projects are set up for initial and continued success.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Participate in plan and spec review process from Design Development through Bid Set Preparation.
Interact with Consulting Engineers and Design Team on design, constructability, improvement, and value engineering exercises.
Work with Preconstruction and Project Teams to site-adapt baseline scopes of work to project specific conditions.
Participate in vendor and subcontractor discovery and prequalification.
Participate in project bidding process
Participate in vendor selection
Participate in refining QA/QC process covering both Preconstruction, Procurement, and new Construction projects
Assist CapEx and Asset Management with questions and solutions as needed.
Work with Field Operations staff on Subcontractor issue resolution and communication
Participate in developing and implementing QA/QC best practices
Participate in developing and maintaining lessons learned library
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
2 year Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering
5-10 Years of Experience
Ability to lead
General knowledge of construction principles / practices required
Demonstrated experience in subject matter being interviewed for
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules
Ability to understand and solve complex challenges to present alternative solutions
Detail oriented to organize, manage and produce results for multiple tasks
Proven organizational skills that exhibits good judgement, honesty and integrity while performing at the highest level of professionalism at all times
Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills that align with company’s culture
Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external resources
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office suite and tools including SharePoint, estimating software, BIM tools (Revit, etc.), project management software (Pro-Core, Pro-Log or similar), and scheduling software (P6)
Must be authorized to work in the United States and possess a current valid driver’s license
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related field
