What you will do

Quality Manager at Johnson Controls in Izmır Plant drives continuous improvement in Production Quality Deliverables, including IPPM, SPPM, and Warranty. This role serves as the main point of contact for Operations, addressing critical customer issues, monitoring Quality Key measures, and managing customer-specific initiatives. You will oversee the implementation of Quality Systems such as ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, and ISO45001:2018.

Your responsibilities include assessing and approving post-S.O.P. Supplier PPAPs, providing technical support to resolve supplier issues, analyzing production defects, and maintaining control plans. You will review and update Quality Gates and control points based on customer feedback, and conduct various audits including Layered Process Audits (LPA), Process Audits, and Gemba Audits.

Supporting the ongoing enhancement of Operator Description Sheets (ODS) is also essential. You will utilize statistical tools, mentor and train team members in statistical applications, and develop and enhance inspection quality control checklists using customer complaints and field service data.

How you will do it

  • Prepare and present internal training on quality-related topics.
  • Compile periodic KPI reports as defined by Global and Plant.
  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Manage problem-solving methods such as 8D Report, Problem Solving, A3, and Lean 6 Sigma.
  • Develop and maintain a Warranty System using field service data to support cost improvements.
  • Follow up on corrective actions regarding warranty issues.
  • Coordinate in-service failures/claims with Production or Suppliers and ensure follow-up on these actions.
  • Act as Customer Liaison for warranty issues, interfacing with the Customer (Parts Return Center).
  • Assist plant activities to develop Warranty Roadmaps and participate in Lessons Learned Workshops.
  • Continuously monitor the Customer Warranty System.
  • Engage in workgroups such as PFMEA, Gemba, Hoshin Kanri, and CI.
  • Ensure compliance with external system and product certification processes, including TSEK, Eurovent, PED, and ISO QMS.

What we look for

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Experience with Control Plan, PFMEA, and Part Product Approval processes.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Certified Internal Auditor.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in welding and brazing processes.
  • Familiarity with TSEK, Eurovent, and the Pressure Equipment Directive.
  • Experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Certification in ISO 14001:2015 and/or ISO 45001:2018 standards.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience with SAP and Minitab.
