Essential Job Functions
- Expose students to science and manufacturing career paths
- Build early STEM talent pipelines
- Provide hands-on learning in quality systems, testing, and problem-solving
- Quality Shadowing
- Basic lab testing (under supervision)
- Learn basics of Verification and Validation
- Statistical Process Control - weight data collection and entry
- Receiving and In-Process testing (pH, Moisture, Bulk Density, Water activity)
- QC Bakeoffs (Mixing and preparing, testing finished products)
- Quality checks in other departments
- Participates in Team environment offering input and suggestions to improve the overall performance of the department and company.
- Strives to maintain goals and objectives as developed by the company or manager.
Important Other Skills/Abilities
- Strong Communication skills, written & verbal.
- HS Juniors/ Seniors
- Works well in a team environment or independently.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office knowledge.
- Self-motivated; works well with minimal supervision.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Demand Characteristics:
- Light – Lifts 10 lbs. or less frequently.
- Lifts 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Walks and/or stands most of the day.
- Bends and stoops frequently.
- Reaches overhead and stoops frequently.
- May push/pull.
- Ability to comply with safety requirements (PPE, plant polices)
