Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determine inspection sample sizes and verify incoming material by using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database and/or ERP system
- Maintain inspection measurement and test tools so that results are not compromised
- Follow defined standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager
- Issue non-conformance reports as needed and return to vendor when required
- Maintain Quality related data such as Supplier Performance log and RMA log
- Provide feedback to the production team on issues seen during incoming inspections and highlight variances in material availability
- Ensure product is received properly per approved processes and made available to end users in a timely manner
- Ability to frequently carry up to 50lbs.
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Kitting of manufacturing orders to the production floor in a timely and accurate manner
- Picking of parts for customer orders and forwarding to shipping department
- Ensure accuracy of inventory by continuously monitoring stock physical status being in accordance with ERP data and being a key participant in the annual Physical Inventory
- Putting incoming material away in proper locations
- Review component shortages and bring parts to appropriate area upon receipt
- Support Receiving, Return to Stock and de-kit material actions
- Maintain inventory material locations
- Support the maintenance of FIFO inventory control
- Ensure accuracy of inventory by continuously monitoring stock status being in accordance with ERP data
- Comply with of all company safety policies
Education and Experience:
- BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial)
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Working knowledge of inspection techniques and inspection tools, gauges & equipment
- Basic understanding of manufacturing ERP systems
- 2 - 4 years inventory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of MRP, including backflushing and the use of phantoms in BOM’s
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work with changing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Thorough understanding of the ERP system and how inventory transactions flow through to ensure inventory accuracy
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Able to interpret technical drawings and requirements
- Knowledge of quality systems and techniques including auditing, process control, and inspection methods
- ERP Experience
- Excellent communication skills both verbal ad written, wih strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer Experience required including a working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of continuous improvement
- Ability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude

Personal Protective Equipment:
- In accordance with Teledyne Marine Systems safety policies
- Hard Hats required in designated areas
- The use of Safety Glasses is required throughout all production areas of the facility
- Safety shoes as required per TMS policy

- Stockroom and Warehouse
- Periodic supplier onsite inspection may be required.
