Job Summary
Perform detailed inspections of circuit boards and assemblies (medium to large, complex, double-sided) to ensure they meet quality standards before shipping and at the final production stage.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Inspection: Examine complex boards and assemblies for defects and compliance with quality standards.
Machine Setup Verification: Check that machines are correctly set up before production runs.
Documentation Review: Use appropriate reference materials and inspection guidelines.
Inspection Methods: Perform first article checks, sampling, or 100% inspections as required.
Quality Standards: Apply electrical principles and Jabil Quality Control Standards to determine pass/fail.
Customer Interaction: Access customer quality systems, communicate on inspection issues, and perform Post Pack Audits and Direct Fulfillment inspections.
Defect Analysis: Identify root causes of defects and report findings for corrective action.
Final Checkpoint: Act as the last quality gate before shipping to customers.
Training: Train team members on inspection processes and standards.
Compliance: Ensure all parts meet customer quality requirements.
Specific to OBA Inspection
Conduct Out-of-Box Audits on finished goods prior to shipment.
Use customer portals to log inspection results and resolve quality issues promptly.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and visual aids.
Proficient in PC use, including Windows and Jabil software systems.
Good communication skills for reporting and collaborating with teams and customers.
