Quality Inspector

Job Description:

The purpose of the Quality Inspector is to support customer satisfaction by verifying that incoming products and materials meet defined specifications and quality requirements. The role ensures that product quality is maintained within the distribution center through accurate inspections, proper documentation, and timely escalation of nonconformities. The Quality Inspector contributes to supplier quality assurance by providing reliable inspection data and supporting the overall quality management system.

Job Requirements:

Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Technical background sufficient to read and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Experience performing dimensional, functional, or visual inspections.
• Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• Understanding of basic quality principles and documentation requirements.
• Preferably familiar with automated measurement equipment and inspection software.
• Preferably familiar with SAP or other digital documentation systems.

Critical Skills/technical know-how:

• Ability to follow defined procedures with high accuracy and consistency.
• Strong attention to detail and structured working style.
• Basic problem‑solving skills to identify irregularities and escalate appropriately.
• Ability to troubleshoot simple inspection or measurement issues.
• Good computer skills, including MS Office.
• Clear and professional communication of inspection findings.

Critical Experience:

• Experience with measurement techniques and inspection activities.
• Preferably experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace).
• Basic understanding of quality system requirements (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820 is a plus).
• Experience working with calibrated measurement equipment and supporting calibration activities.
