Business Unit Description:

The Distribution Center supports the storage, handling, inspection, and shipment of medical devices to ensure products meet regulatory, quality, and customer requirements. The team works collaboratively to maintain operational excellence, compliance, and product integrity across all shipping and logistics processes.

Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality standards to ensure products, documentation, and processes meet internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role performs routine inspections of shipping lines and LTL documentation, documents findings, investigates quality issues, and supports corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). The position also provides operational support on shipping lanes as needed while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate quality standards by reviewing products, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations
  • Perform inspections and audits by conducting routine checks on shipping lines and LTL documentation to identify defects or discrepancies
  • Document findings and maintain accurate records, reports, and quality documentation to support compliance and performance tracking
  • Investigate quality issues, including defects, customer complaints, or process failures, to determine root causes
  • Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) by collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that prevent recurrence
  • Assist on shipping lanes and support operations as needed to maintain workflow continuity
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Travel Requirements: n/a

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience in quality inspection, warehouse, or distribution environments
  • Knowledge of quality standards, inspections, and documentation practices
  • Experience working in regulated environments (medical device, manufacturing, or logistics preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
