Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products throughout the production process. This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests, analysing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of product quality and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in quality engineering or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools, including PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and Control Plans.
Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001. Proficient in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
ISO auditor trained, with experience in conducting internal audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Responsibilities
Development, implementation, and updating of quality control procedures and documentation (PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA).
Execution of inspections and tests on materials, components, and finished products to identify defects, with proper documentation of results.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions, documenting the activities carried out.
Analysis of quality data to identify areas for improvement and define strategies to reduce defects.
Monitoring of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical support to production teams to resolve quality issues and improve process efficiency.
Root cause analysis of problems and implementation of preventive measures.
Management and updating of quality documentation, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
Management of non-conforming materials, both internal and supplied, and collaboration with suppliers to resolve issues.
Supervision and support of quality control personnel.
Conducting internal audits to verify compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
