An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a skilled Quality Engineer to join us in Turbine Systems Manufacturing Business Unit.

Turbine Systems is a high-volume business, manufacturing a variety of Turbine Blades and Vanes from casting to machining. We are growing business having some of the most advanced business units within the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace Supply Chain.

Based in the in Derby you will be working in the Turbines Precision Casting business you will:

  • Be responsible for the governance of all Quality-related activity
  • Be recognised as a point of contact for all Quality issues in the area
  • Provide coaching and support to all team members when performing Quality actions
  • Identify opportunities to improve Quality and implement plans to deliver that improvement
  • Coordinate data reporting and share best practice across the area
  • Liaise with all Support functions on behalf of the area for all Quality matters

What you will be doing:

In this role you will work with/alongside numerous departments across the business, adapting your communication skills accordingly, you will also:

  • Implement and deliver the quality activities across the area.
  • Nurture and drive a spirit of continuous improvement
  • Engage teams with problem solving tools that promote multi-functional support
  • Ensure compliance to Rolls Royce processes, procedures and systems
  • Drive Zero Defects across the area
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.

Who we are looking for:

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Previous relevant experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Understanding of drawings and specifications is required.
  • Experience of problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to network across functions and organisations.
  • Proven record of delivering results and meeting customer requirements.
