GENERAL PURPOSE
To provide technical quality support to all departments.
To ensure components and materials achieve the required quality level in accordance with the standards. To continually improve the level of service through identifying issues in accordance with ISO9001-2015.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Audits, inclusive of supplier/production/process in accordance to ISO9001-2015.
Flexible to travel, with nights away from home occasionally required.
Help support in day-to-day activities of the QC team.
Manage the calibration process/database including measuring, assembly and testing equipment.
Participate in developing internal and supplier processes and implement quality control plans inhouse and at supplier locations, if required, and to assist in delivery of quality performance improvements.
PPAP submissions
Route cause analysis, corrective actions leading into product and process improvements.
Support all departments to provide or implement standards, processes and systems to improve the Quality standards within Geiger/MillerKnoll.
Support all departments to provide or implement standards, processes and systems.
To actively support the deployment of the QMS policies.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited program OR
Associate’s/2-year technical degree in a related field plus 3 years of applicable engineering experience.
At least 1 year of professional engineering experience required for all candidates, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Abilities
Supplier Management/Quality experience.
Able to demonstrate a track record of at least three years in a manufacturing tier 1 supplier organization.
Experience of using logical problem-solving techniques in a production environment, understand lean techniques to support problem solving.
Capable of preparation, development and review of project quality plans.
Detailed knowledge of ISO9001
Knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.
Excellent computer skills including proficient in MS office programs.
PPAP experience.
Knowledge of measuring equipment and techniques.
