What you will do:
Risks Analysis, Data Collection and Validation:
Collect and validate mortgage loan data to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with HMDA requirements. Perform risk analysis, data integrity and make decisions regarding deficiencies identified during the review process. Review and analyze mortgage applications, credit reports, appraisal, income and asset documents to determine accuracy and completeness per guideline requirements. Ensure that deficiencies captured during the review process are corrected and clearly documented providing a thorough audit trail.
Conduct Pre-funding and Funding reviews of all types of residential loans (Conventional, FHA & VA) and be responsible for ensuring that loans originated are in compliance with Bank’s and investor requirements as set forth in the Bank’s Quality Assurance Pre-Funding and Funding Policies and Procedures.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit HMDA reports to Compliance team, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Create QA reports.
Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor and review loan files for HMDA compliance, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to internal teams on HMDA requirements and best practices.
Provide training as needed to educate group/team the details of the Pre-Funding/Funding Audits.
Audit Preparation:
Assist Compliance team with related questions, providing necessary documentation and information.
Policy and Procedure Development:
Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to HMDA compliance, ensuring they are up-to-date and in line with regulatory changes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with various departments, including underwriting, fulfillment, sales and compliance, to ensure data integrity and compliance with HMDA requirements.
Projects: as need and as assigned.
Travel 10 - 20%.
Who you are:
High School or GED required.
3 years minimum Mortgage and Consumer Lending; HMDA compliance required.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Strong understanding of HMDA regulations and reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving research and stress management skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in mortgage software such as Encompass, HMDA Wiz and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be effective in presenting information to small and large groups.
Ability to work effectively without direct supervision.

Pay Range: $ 25.93 - $48.48 hourly
