For our group company InterAmerican Coffee Ltd. we are looking for a

Quality Control (QC) Specialist (m/f/d)

The position will be based in London and reports to the MD of IAC London.


Your responsibilities

  • Deliver sample-to-decision QC: prepare, roast, cup and grade pre-shipment, landed/arrival and reference samples, and make clear accept/hold/claim recommendations
  • Own sensory standards and consistency: run calibration (internal and with group/partners where relevant) to ensure aligned scoring, defect recognition, roast consistency and repeatable evaluation
  • Manage the sample lifecycle end-to-end: receiving, classification, registration, labelling, storage, dispatch, retention/disposal, and full traceability
  • Maintain robust QC reporting: log results, track historical comparisons, and issue structured QC reports (findings, defects, actions/next steps)
  • Run the lab safely and efficiently: operate/maintain/troubleshoot roasting & cupping equipment, control consumables, and uphold hygiene and safe working practices
  • Support customers and suppliers on quality: provide timely technical feedback/documentation, represent IAC in customer cuppings, and support basic QC-led marketing needs (e.g., tasting notes/quality summaries for customer communications and simple customer-facing materials)
  • Represent IAC externally on quality: attend/host quality-focused events (cuppings, seminars, fairs) to stay current and strengthen QC capability.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards
  • Deliver QC-led social content: plan and coordinate a simple schedule of quality-focused posts (e.g., new arrivals, tasting notes, traceability highlights)


Your profile

  • Bachelor´s degree preferably or completed commercial training in a quality/roasting environment.

  • Minimum of 1-year practical experience, preferably in quality or coffee roasting

  • Very organised, able to prioritise and work on various topics simultaneously.

  • Passion for coffee

  • Strong communication skills

  • Team player

  • Fluent in English, additional languages advantageous
