Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift (Fixed 4x10 and 5-day Schedules, depending on the position and needs of the business)
The Frontier of Personalized Medicine At Lonza Portsmouth, we are at the forefront of the most exciting frontier in medicine: Cell Therapy. Because we work with patient-derived cells, our Quality Control (QC) teams are the ultimate guardians of patient safety. We are currently building a pipeline of talented scientists and quality professionals to support the world’s largest commercial Cell Therapy operation.
About this Posting: This is an Evergreen position. By applying here, you are entering our priority talent pool for multiple current and upcoming openings within our Cell Therapy asset. We are hiring across all experience levels (Level I, II, III, and Senior) for various specialized QC departments.
QC Specialty Areas:
Analytical Quality Control
Focus: Performing high-precision testing to verify the potency and safety of live cell products.
Techniques: Flow Cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, and cell-based assays.
Environmental Monitoring (EM)
Focus: Maintaining the microbial control strategy of our state-of-the-art facility.
Techniques: Aseptic gowning, Grade B cleanroom sampling, and HVAC/Utility monitoring.
QC Microbiology
Focus: Direct microbial testing of products and materials.
Techniques: Sterility testing, Bioburden, Endotoxin, and Microbial Identification.
Raw Materials
Focus: Ensuring the quality and compliance of every component that enters the manufacturing process.
Techniques: Sampling, visual inspection, and identity testing of critical reagents.

Who We’re Looking For:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related Scientific discipline is required for most technical levels.
Experience: We have opportunities for everyone from entry-level (0-2 years) to advanced technical leaders (5-10+ years).
