Responsibilities:
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will utilize your skills and expertise to ensure that all incoming parts, in-process production, and finished products meet stringent quality requirements.You will be responsible for conducting visual and mechanical inspections of materials, components, and products at various stages of the production process, identifying structural flaws, internal defects, or missing/cracked welds. Based on your findings, you will accept, reject, or request rework of defective or non-conforming units or systems. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards and procedures for receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure consistent product excellence.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector in a manufacturing quality environment.
At least 1+ years of experience in mechanical inspection, with proficiency in the use of basic hand
measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.).
Familiarity with, and ability to operate, a broad range of precision measuring instruments or
non-destructive evaluation equipment, as required by site.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience with MS Office and material management systems in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
Ability to obtain IPC 610 and 620 Certifications.
Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting technical schematics and drawings.
Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.
Experience performing receiving and finished goods inspections.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Basic understanding of material flow within manufacturing operations.
Experience drafting work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 quality standards.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
Essential Functions:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
Standing for extended periods during inspections.
Dexterity to handle small parts and use inspection tools.
Ability to work in a noisy environment.
Occasional travel may be required.
