Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It: 

As our next Quality Co-op, you’ll be at the forefront of completion, and revisions to all Quality documentation and studies. Updating standardized work instructions and other Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.

Health, Safety and Environmental

  • Work in compliance with Johnson Electric FPS Safety, Environmental, Quality and Production Systems

  • Responsible for wearing task specific PPE as required

  • Responsible for handling and storage of hazardous chemicals

  • Subject to frequent Supervisor Audits

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Interaction with production operators, Senior Quality Engineering Specialists and other key resources to assist with the documentation, standardization and improvement of processes

  • Create and Update work instructions

  • Complete capability studies (Minitab)

  • Ensuring the adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, all policies and any other industry standards in all activities

  • Conduct training for work instruction with operators

  • Create and Update our Quality Documentation

  • Work in and with Measurement lab

  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives

  • Perform other related duties as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Working towards a degree or diploma

  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is an asset

  • Experience in Stats is an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Independent and self-motivated worker

  • Hands on experience is a PLUS, this is a hands on role

  • Committed to meeting deadline requirements

  • Willing and able to multi-task and change priorities based on organizational needs

  • Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Software

  • Strong ability to use Minitab

  • Willingness to be involved in hands on projects in the plant

  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
