Job Summary: You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Aero) in the Technical Department of STRATEGIC WEAPONS FACILITY PACIFIC.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the technical documentation expert for the Quality Verification Division.
  • You will perform technical reviews and evaluations of both government and contractor technical documentation.
  • You will review proposed interim processing documentation changes for non-standard situations that arise and provides recommendations for approval/release of processing documentation as necessary.
  • You will approve process Accomplishment Verification changes during production operations.
  • You will administer Quality Verification Division, and department if needed, portion of LM Data Management System, responsible for updating and maintaining personnel access to the system.
  • You will Inspect and accept work for the government, identifying deficiencies, reporting on performance, ensuring compliance with terms of contract requirements.
  • You will define and employ quality control methods and techniques required to evaluate, monitor, and assess contractor performance.
  • You will generate Surveillance Corrective Action Reports to document systemic trends and request corrective action from contractor management.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: directing Quality Assurance and Inspection programs and ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and quality requirements during the processing, assembly, and acceptance of missile systems, Re Entry System (RES) components, launcher and guidance units, and other Strategic Weapons System (SWS) components prior to fleet delivery.
