Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, you will ensure food safety and product quality within the facility while leading key programs, training, compliance efforts, and cross functional collaboration to support operations, Sales, and Research & Development. You will drive execution of regulatory, customer, and internal requirements while fostering ownership of food safety and quality across the plant.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
- Ensure all plant personnel follow good manufacturing practices, including waste disposal, personal hygiene, and general plant practices.
- Develop and deliver orientation and annual training programs covering key concepts of food safety and quality; ensure understanding and ownership throughout the facility.
- Partner with Operations and Maintenance to build Food Safety and Quality ownership at the floor level.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members.
- Lead plant timelines, milestones, and execution of the Food Safety and Quality Improvement Plan, including complaint reduction, quality incident reduction, and quality index performance.
- Interpret, analyze, and communicate internal and external (consumer) quality and food safety issues; initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including USDA, Food and Drug Administration, and CFIA.
- Serve as the primary plant contact for USDA, Food and Drug Administration, and other regulatory officials.
- Lead and maintain required plant programs: Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, Safe Quality Food certification, raw and finished specification programs, recall program, environmental monitoring, and pest control.
- Implement corrective actions when deficiencies are identified in food safety or quality.
- Serve as liaison for technical and quality matters between Operations, Refrigerated & Frozen Quality and Innovation, and Sales/Marketing.
- Provide Corporate teams with quality assurance support related to vendor performance and improvement.
- Oversee quality considerations for new product introductions, using MOPD and CQV processes as required.
- Serve as the FS&Q pillar owner within the Conagra Performance System; use continuous improvement tools (UPS, quality index, etc.) to identify opportunities and develop action plans.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Food Science, or related field.
- Experience in process control monitoring, auditing, food manufacturing, sanitation processes, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, SSOP regulations, team leadership, communication, and root cause analysis.
- Skilled in responding to inquiries and complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and business partners.
- Skilled in presenting information to senior management and public groups.
- Skilled in applying mathematical operations including frequency distribution, test reliability, analysis of variance, correlation, sampling theory, and factor analysis; proficiency in process capability, process control, and predictive quality processes.
- Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing sound conclusions.
- Strong communication skills, with expertise in training others and interpreting scientific, technical, financial, and legal materials.

Compensation
Pay Range:$81,000-$118,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
