We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Christchurch, Dorset Team.
As Quality Assurance Engineer for our Sensors facility, you will ensure our manufacturing processes comply with aerospace regulations such as AS9100 and CAA Part 145/21G, customer requirements, and internal standards. You will conduct product and process audits and engineering inspection reviews to verify that finished products meet technical drawings, specifications and regulations. In your role you will be liaising with customers and will perform investigations on customer returns, conducting root cause analysis and proposing corrective and preventive actions to address defects and process inefficiencies.

Your Challenge
Develops, applies and revises quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
Reviews and evaluates in-process rejections, obtains disposition, and implements corrective action as needed.
Conduct root cause analysis (5 Why, Ishikawa, Fault Tree) and complete 8D reports for both internal issues and customer returns.
Interface with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.
Lead internal audits, process audits and support external audits (customers, certification bodies, regulatory authorities).
Provides technical support to inspection personnel as needed.
May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.
Analyse quality data (scrap, rework, Cp/Cpk, SPC, defects per unit) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications, standards and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.
Support First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102, PPAP submissions when required.
Some oversees travel may be required.
What You Bring
Degree (or equivalent) either Engineering or Quality standard
Must be familiar with AS9100 Rev. D
Experienced in a similar role, ideally in an Aerospace and/or Defense industry, but experience in other regulated industries will be considered
Experience in quality tools and techniques (8D reports, Lean Sigma, PPAP, FMEA etc.)
Have attention to detail
Able to work as part of a team
