2727 N Central Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 United States of AmericaOur team is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join the U-Haul family. This person must be ready to immerse themselves in the world of customer self-service. The applications managed by this team are high performance, in high demand and are used by customers across the U.S and Canada. The quality assurance role will lead by example, being both customer-centric and service minded. This person will work side-by-side with developers to strategize, design, and implement simple to incredibly complex technical problems.
The person in this position must:
With some supervision and oversight, plan and execute testing for new and existing functionality, as well as bug fixes with low risk/complexity.
Evaluate and test changes according to user requirements using established tools and guidelines.
Plan, design, and author effective test cases.
Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
Provide developers with clear and concise written documentation and problem description when encountered.
Install, maintain and use software testing tools.
Learn and apply knowledge of application monitoring and reporting tools (Kibana, Grafana, Dynatrace, etc.)
Independently and proactively monitor tools for application issues and follow escalation procedures. Create work items for any defects found that include steps to reproduce.
Able to understand and create testing automations.
Understand the Agile process and how to track its progress.
Successfully communicate and troubleshoot issues reported by the business unit or product owner.
Actively participate in team discussions and interact with customers and development teams on a regular basis.
Have a working knowledge of database structures, usage and SQL.
On-time and prepared for team meetings (stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.)
Excellent time management skills.
Possess strong communication skills.
Understand Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Communicate complex technical problems in a manner non-technical people can understand.
Coordinate with other QA, operations and development teams effectively.
Must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of U.S. employment authorization for this position.
Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 annually depedning on experience
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology. OR 1-2 years of experience in QA Testing.
