Job Summary

We are looking for an E2-level SDET who has strong fundamentals in manual testing and good experience in automation. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality through test design, automation, execution, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing and create clear, detailed test scenarios and test cases.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and related frameworks.
  • Develop automated tests for all functionalities that meet automation criteria.
  • Write unit and integration tests as part of the testing scope.
  • Understand requirements and translate them into reliable automation.
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering principles in automation development.
  • Apply test-driven (TDD) and behavior-driven design concepts (BDD) where applicable.
  • Maintain accuracy, reusability, and quality of automation code and reusable utilities.
  • Work closely with developers, QA, and other technical teams to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
  • Own end-to-end product quality including test case design, execution, defect reporting, tracking, and closure.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation maintainability and overall framework robustness.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Concourse) to support seamless testing and deployments.
  • Suggest improvements in processes, best practices, and standards.
  • Provide timely status updates to project and delivery stakeholders.
  • Collaborate in an agile environment and actively participate in ceremonies.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong passion for QA and automation with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology, QA processes, and testing tools.
  • Strong object-oriented programming knowledge.
  • Good analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with distributed teams across time zones.
  • Demonstrated ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to engineering excellence.
     

Technical Skills

  • Automation using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven/Ant.
  • Cross-browser automation testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Concourse.
  • Experience with WebdriverIO, JavaScript, Node.js, NPM, Appium (mobile automation), Allure (good to have).
  • Understanding of BDD/TDD frameworks.
  • Experience with source control tools such as GIT.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA or equivalent tools.


Required Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in test automation design, scripting, and execution.
  • Hands‑on experience with Java/Selenium or mobile test automation tools.
  • Experience in cross-browser automation and JavaScript-based frameworks.


Good-to-Have Skills

  • Desktop application testing on Windows/macOS.
  • API and Web services testing.
  • Mobile automation testing
