The Anticipated Salary range for this position is $65k-$71,700 annually. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location

REQUIRED: Onsite, UVA Medical Center Endoscopy Main and Outpatient Charlottesville, VA 

Position Summary

Analysts are responsible for implementing inventory management processes for maintaining inventory accuracy, accountability and control leading to reduced supply expense and increased operational efficiency for high dollar clinical and physician preferred products. The Resource will ensure data accuracy within a technology platform by working in accordance with established procedure guidelines and serve as point of contact for all QSight supply-related issues at customer site.  The Resource may be required to assist in the implementation of technology platform(s), including cataloging items, collecting product data and usage, assisting with initial inventory and staff training.

Core Responsibilities

  • Excellence in Customer Service where the goal is to exceed customer expectations by anticipating customer requirements.
  • Check-in with department leadership daily.
  • Check low stock alerts and place any applicable orders.
  • Check Instant Adds – Correct any simple lot# mistakes – Cycle count.
  • Update previous days orders with ETA notes from GHX or Andy’s daily update email.
  • Replenish empty bins from overstock shelves.
  • Receive shipment into Qsight and replenish bins – place anything that doesn’t fit on the overflow shelves.
  • Walk the department and visual check each bin/storage location for anything needing ordered that was not on the low stock alerts.
  • Remove any items in the gray trouble bins from inventory – research lot #s that are not in inventory.
  • Continuously check low stock alerts throughout the day.
  • Move needed product between locations.
  • Update and email backorder reports to department leadership including any known substitute products for backordered items.
  • Run expiring items report and remove anything expiring that week – take all expired items to M.E.R.C.I.
  • Review order notes for overdue orders – Verify order status by researching PO in GHX and checking tracking.
  • Maintain KPI dashboard.
  • Send Boston Scientific Stent Inventory Report to rep.
  • Create PowerPoint presentation on dashboard data for Endoscopy SCOPE meeting.

  • Lead Qsight portion of Endoscopy SCOPE meeting.

  • Prepare and lead Total Physical Inventory for both locations.

  • Assist with Physical Inventory for Cath and EP.

  • Send completed dashboard for the year to department leadership.

  • Ad-hoc reporting for leadership upon request.

  • Per request from BSCI Rep, remove expiring consignment stents from inventory and send back to Boston Scientific with provided FedEx label.

  • Add new department users to Qsight.

Additional Job Requirements

Qualifying Experience

  • BA, MBA, CPA or CPIM highly preferred Must have a broad knowledge of a discipline such as hospital supply chain, distribution, material management, inventory management, engineering, finance or business administration.
  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Project management, PC, and presentation skills Must have a flexible approach to work and be capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates organization skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills Ability to work with and empathize with colleagues and customers from varied backgrounds and cultures Willing to travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes
