Your Impact: 

Formlabs already has a substantial business selling 3D printers and resins to dental customers, who use our products for a wide spectrum of applications, from convenient in-office production of splints to sophisticated lab-based orthodontics.

This person is responsible for ensuring the company’s products meet quality and reliability standards. This person may create standard operating procedures to be used in new employees and ongoing training materials. This role will use software such as Microsoft Office and lab equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Performs QC testing on all finished goods and incoming materials and components (including ISO 13485 materials)
  • Performs in-process inspections for conformance to quality standards
  • Responsible for performing all calibration on QC equipment and vendor equipment.
  • Establish QC procedures for all new products with supervisor.
  • Supports QC scale-up activities for new products.
  • Ordering supplies and materials for R&D, QC, and Chemists.
  • Training R&D employees and QC technicians when necessary.
  • Periodically review ISO 13485 departmental operational procedures for QC.
  • Maintaining and improving procedures for quality.
  • Conduct quality issue investigations
  • Supports QMS processes such as equipment calibration, document control, CAPA, deviations, NCMR, internal audit, training, etc, as needed. All other duties as assigned by supervision.

About You:

  • Bachelor degree in Chemistry
  • Familiar with ISO Standards.
  • Strong training abilities.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and concise.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Bonus Skills: 

  • Master's degree in chemistry
  • Familiarity with chemical manufacturing
  • Experience with 3D printing technologies and materials.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or SQL.
