Overview

The primary role of the Manufacturing Quality function is to design, implement, and monitor quality control programs that ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements. This includes recommending improvements to methods, procedures, and standards based on analysis of data and systems. The QC Coordinator ensures products are built according to specifications, comply with quality standards, and meet regulatory guidelines. The role is also responsible for reporting defects and tracking them through to resolution.

Responsibilities

The QC Coordinator is responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and sampling activities throughout the product manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform manufacturing line inspections, sampling, and testing of incoming components and raw materials to ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Draft or update procedures and assist in validating or troubleshooting testing methods.

  • Apply approval or rejection labels to raw materials, in‑process items, and finished goods.

  • Support the management and documentation of non‑conforming products and coordinate release of conforming finished goods.

  • Provide clerical, administrative, or technical support tasks in an office, field, or production setting as needed.

  • Identify and execute specialized technical tasks or skilled craft work related to quality control processes.

  • Carry out unskilled or semi‑skilled operational tasks as required in support of quality activities.

  • Interact with internal teams to exchange quality‑related information.

  • Serve as an informal resource to colleagues with less experience and work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Vocational training or equivalent experience in a manufacturing, quality, or technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in manufacturing quality control, inspection, or similar function.

  • Familiarity with quality control procedures, documentation, and manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to use initiative and handle a variety of non‑routine situations.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

  • Experience identifying key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to recommend improvements to testing methods or procedures.
