Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Engineer/ Material Specialist to join our team for an infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality and excellence, possess a keen eye for detail, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires collaboration with diverse teams to uphold our high standards of quality and safety.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and protocols for construction projects.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Review and approve Civil materials, equipment, and workmanship to meet quality requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of QA/QC activities, including reports and records.
Monitor and report on the performance of the QA/QC system, identifying areas for improvement.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide training and guidance to project teams on QA/QC best practices.
Ensure that selected materials comply with relevant codes, standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, ISO), and client specifications.
Review and approve material test reports, certificates of compliance, and other documentation.
Conduct Quality Audit to the Contractor to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management system requirements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of extensive experience in QA/QC roles preferably in large-scale of infrastructure projects including roads and bridges.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards.
Proficiency in QA/QC software and tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Certification in QA/QC or related fields is preferred.
