DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Test Strategy Development and Management:
Develop and finalize the PROJECT specific Testing Strategy
Overall responsible for executing Testing programs in the PROJECT
Review project test strategies and verify if the correct testing types like unit, functional, performance, stress, acceptance etc. are getting covered
Supporting Domain Goals and Metrics:
Ensure quality metrics across projects are complete and accurate.
Define annual PROJECT Testing goals, success measures and exit criteria
Track and report the progress of testing activities in the PROJECT.
Create improvement programs for missed metrics\
Testing Delivery
Overall responsible for the delivery of Testing Services in the PROJECT; ensure the project complies with the testing processes and tools; ensure completeness of testing deliverables; ensure completion of testing activities within the agreed schedule and cost.
Create and maintain the automation strategy for the PROJECT.
Help source the right Testing resources needed by the PROJECT projects
Single point of escalation for Testing concerns in the PROJECT
Coordinator between the PROJECT and the Testing Partner
Reporting:
Review status reports from test managers and take appropriate actions accordingly.
Report the overall testing status of the PROJECT
Seek feedback from PROJECT management when and wherever necessary
Report risks, issues and dependencies in a timely manner to the PROJECT
Escalate critical issues to the QAE Section Lead.
Top 3-5 Deliverables:
Reduction in incidents as a result of change
Increase in automated deployments
Increased re-use of test code and reduction in test effort

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Core Experience & Background
Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in technical program management and software quality assurance/testing.
Industry Knowledge: Significant experience within the Telecommunications (Telco) industry is preferred, but not required.
Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership capacity, responsible for overseeing the testing function for one or more projects, including strategy development and team coordination.
Feedback & Escalation: Skilled in gathering feedback from project stakeholders and escalating critical issues to leadership when necessary.
Technical Skills & QA Expertise
Test Strategy & Planning: Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive, project-specific test strategies covering the entire testing lifecycle.
Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of various testing types and their application, including unit, functional, integration, performance, stress, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Test Automation: Experience in creating, maintaining, and driving the adoption of a test automation strategy to increase efficiency and code re-use.
Metrics & Reporting: Proficiency in defining, tracking, and reporting on quality assurance metrics and KPIs. Must be able to analyze data to create improvement programs.
QA Tools & Processes: Familiarity with modern testing tools, frameworks, and best practices within the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Leadership & Management Competencies
Strategic Thinking: Ability to align testing goals with overall business and project objectives, demonstrating strong business acumen.
Project Management: Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage testing schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to act as the primary point of contact and escalation for all testing-related matters. Capable of coordinating effectively between project teams and external testing partners.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, address issues in a timely manner, and make critical decisions.
People Leadership: Ability to source appropriate testing resources and guide test managers and teams toward achieving optimal results.
Education & Certifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is expected.
Professional Certification: Certification in software testing such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or CSTE (Certified Software Tester) is highly preferred, but not required.
