Job Summary:**
The QA Technician III at Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes through inspection, testing, and adherence to quality standards and procedures. This role involves identifying and resolving quality issues, supporting production, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform in-process and final inspections of electronic assemblies and components according to detailed specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
* Conduct various tests, including functional, electrical, and mechanical tests, using appropriate equipment and document results accurately.
* Identify, analyze, and document non-conforming materials and products, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
* Collaborate with production personnel and engineering to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
* Participate in root cause analysis of quality defects and assist in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
* Maintain and calibrate inspection and test equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
* Review and approve manufacturing process documentation, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
* Assist in the training of new QA technicians and production operators on quality procedures and standards.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of quality control procedures and work instructions.
* Generate clear and concise quality reports and maintain accurate quality records.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications:**
* Associate's degree in electronics, manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Strong understanding of IPC-A-610 standards (certification preferred).
* Experience with various inspection tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers).
* Demonstrated ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues effectively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
