Are you crazy about quality? Do you love inspecting material to ensure the right level of quality. Axon is looking for a self-motivated Quality Technician that is hungry to show their talents in the public safety industry.

As Axon’s Quality Technician, you will be responsible for evaluating returned products and identifying root causes of failure. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing return trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with company quality standards.

What You’ll Do
Location: Onsite at our Deer Valley Location
Reports to: RMA Supervisor
  • Inspect, test, and evaluate returned products to determine failure modes and root causes
  • Document findings accurately in RMA and quality management systems
  • Perform functional testing, visual inspections, and basic troubleshooting
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve product issues
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Track and report RMA metrics such as failure trends, turnaround time, and defect rates
  • Assist in identifying systemic quality issues and recommend process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements
  • Maintain organized records of inspections, reports, and test results
  • Support audits and provide documentation as needed
  • Effectively Join Forces with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong ‘Own It’ mentality to work autonomously and manage time effectively
What You Bring
  • Associates Degree or equivalent Experience
  • Basic software and computer skills
  • IPC-A-610 certification (Preferred)
  • Experience of ISO standards, inspection standards and quality concepts
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint,
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, procedures and standards
  • Excellent written, oral communication and technical report writing skills
