Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced QA Lead Specialist to oversee and execute comprehensive quality assurance activities across complex development projects. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions by developing testing strategies, leading testing teams, and collaborating closely with stakeholders. This role plays a vital part in maintaining product excellence, reducing risks, and supporting the organization’s overall delivery objectives.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
Experience with QA automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, UFT, or similar
Knowledge of test management and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center)
Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
Familiarity with continuous integration tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Maven, Git)
Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies
Preferred Skills:
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter)
Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
Familiarity with cloud testing environments (AWS, Azure)
Experience with mobile testing tools and frameworks
Overall Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate QA activities for multiple projects, ensuring testing aligns with organizational standards and best practices
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements
Manage and mentor QA team members, fostering continuous improvement and best practice adoption
Oversee manual, automated, regression, performance, and security testing activities
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to identify quality issues early and ensure timely resolutions
Establish and monitor testing metrics to assess product quality and testing effectiveness
Support defect tracking, reporting, and root cause analysis to facilitate quality improvements
Ensure all testing deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines
Stay updated on quality trends, tools, and technologies, continuously enhancing testing practices
Technical Skills (By Category)
Testing Tools & Frameworks:
Essential: Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, UFT, or equivalent automation tools
Preferred: Performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner), API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
Programming & Scripting Languages:
Essential: Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages for automation
Preferred: Ability to write complex automation scripts to enhance testing efficiency
Development & CI/CD:
Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins, Maven, Git for test automation integration
Experience with version control and build management

Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on automation and lead roles
Proven track record managing QA teams and delivering large-scale enterprise projects
Experience in implementing test strategies from requirements to production
Exposure to financial services, banking, or fintech domains is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to improve testing processes and increase automation coverage
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop and review detailed test plans, cases, and scripts based on project specifications
Lead testing efforts across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards
Coordinate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes
Manage defect lifecycle, ensuring transparent communication and timely resolution
Mentor junior QA team members, promoting best practices in testing and automation
Conduct regular test reviews, retrospectives, and process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to report on testing progress and quality metrics
Stay current on new tools, techniques, and industry standards to continuously elevate testing capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTB are desirable
Extensive hands-on QA experience, with a focus on automation and enterprise-level testing
