Job Description
At Aperia Solutions, our success is driven by the innovation and dedication of our talented engineering team. We are seeking a QA Engineer to help us ensure the highest level of quality across our product suite. This role will focus on developing robust testing strategies, executing manual tests and partially automating functional tests, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to uphold our commitment to secure and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases across functional and integration testing.
Execute manual and automated testing, including regression, functional, UI, and API testing.
Utilize and help refine Aperia’s test frameworks for Functional Automation, Security, and Penetration Testing.
Analyze and translate user stories and business requirements into detailed test scenarios and scripts.
Ensure thorough test coverage while balancing time constraints and business priorities.
Select, recommend, and support tools such as Postman, database testing, and log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk) for end-to-end validation.
Lead the testing effort within agile teams; collaborate on design and code reviews to ensure testability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, DevOps, and Security to embed quality into our development lifecycle.
Mentor junior QA engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Functional Responsibilities
Actively engage with Scrum teams to resolve product issues quickly and effectively.
Conduct and lead regression testing based on impact analysis.
Communicate findings clearly and proactively to relevant stakeholders.
Manage priorities and multitask across multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail.
Promote adherence to Agile, Scrum, TDD, BDD, and other best practices in software development and testing.
Communicate effectively through Teams, SharePoint, GitHub, and other collaborative platforms.
Contribute to an inclusive and high-performance team culture that values transparency, ownership, and accountability.
Technical Skills
3-4 years of hands-on QA experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Experienced with JMeter for functional testing and/or Performance testing.
Experience with Postman, SQL/DB testing, Splunk, and writing/maintaining test plans and strategies.
Proven expertise in API and UI automation.
Deep understanding of QA frameworks and SDLC methodologies.
Familiarity with Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF) and Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices.
Experience testing high-performance, high-throughput web applications.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
