AFC team is responsible for protecting the bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. Risk types related to Anti-Financial Crime are consolidated in a comprehensive and effective risk management framework that covers Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery & Corruption as well as Anti-Fraud & Investigations.

A QA Engineer is responsible for validating functional quality through a strong focus on test automation, complemented by targeted manual testing. The role contributes to automated test coverage, ensures features meet defined requirements, and supports stable, regression‑free releases within an Agile delivery team.

This role is hands‑on and delivery‑focused, with a clear expectation to continuously grow automation skills and reduce reliance on manual testing over time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated functional tests as the primary testing approach within the Scrum / Feature team.
  • Execute manual and exploratory testing where automation is not yet available or where it adds clear value for functional validation.
  • Create and maintain automated test cases and test scripts based on requirements, acceptance criteria, and existing test strategy.
  • Perform backend and API testing to validate functional behaviour, data integrity, and system responses.
  • Identify, log, retest, and track defects, supporting defect triage and timely resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Developers, Senior QA Engineers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and ensure testability.
  • Produce and maintain test evidence, execution results, and basic quality metrics to support release readiness.

Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with test automation, with a clear focus on increasing automated coverage.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity, or similar.
  • Practical experience in backend and API testing.
  • Core Java knowledge (OOP concepts, reading and debugging test code).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux commands.
  • Strong QA mindset with attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Experience executing test cases and contributing to automated test suites.
  • Understanding of Agile / Scrum delivery practices.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience using Jira for defect tracking and test activities.
  • Motivation to continuously improve automation skills and progress towards a Senior QA Engineer role.
