QA Engineer

Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a QA Engineer to ensure product quality across web and mobile applications. The role focuses on manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, UAT) with ownership of defect lifecycle in Jira and close collaboration in Agile/Scrum. You will also maintain and execute light automation using Katalon Studio and/or TestComplete (e.g., updating object repositories, creating small reusable keywords/functions) and perform basic API testing with Postman/Katalon.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Execute manual functional, regression, smoke, and UAT testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Log and track defects using Jira (or similar) with clear repro steps and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Support automation work as needed by maintaining and executing test scripts using Katalon Studio and/or TestComplete; update object repositories and create small reusable keywords/functions.
  • Perform basic API testing using Postman or Katalon (REST).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, and test data management.

Job Requirements:

  • 1 year+ of manual testing experience (functional, regression, integration).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and QA best practices.
  • Practical experience executing/maintaining automated tests with Katalon Studio or TestComplete (preferably both).
  • Katalon: Groovy/Java (custom keywords at a basic level).
  • TestComplete: JavaScript/VBScript/Python (small functions, name mapping).
  • Familiarity with API testing (Postman/REST) and basic SQL is a plus.
  • English Intermediate (INT); strong communication and teamwork.
  • Detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable learning to extend light automation while staying manual‑focused.
  • Nice to have: Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, reporting (Xray/Zephyr).
