About Claim Health
Claim Health is a YC-backed AI platform built for home health and hospice agencies. We automate the most painful parts of revenue cycle management so agencies can focus on patient care instead of paperwork. We're a small, fast-moving team with real customers, real revenue, and a category to build.
The Role
We're looking for a QA Engineer to own and elevate quality at Claim Health as we scale. This isn't a checkbox role. You'll work directly with our engineering team to harden our testing practices, catch issues before they reach customers, and build the processes that grow with us.
This is a contract-to-hire engagement. If it's a great fit, we want you full-time.
What You'll Do
- Own and evolve our end-to-end testing process, from pre-release checklists to automated regression suites
- Test new features and bug fixes before they ship to production
- Set up and maintain a staging environment that mirrors production
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports that help engineers diagnose and fix issues fast
- Work closely with our ops team to triage and prioritize customer-reported issues
- Identify patterns in production bugs and fix the upstream process, not just the symptom
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of QA experience in a software product environment
- Hands-on experience building and improving testing infrastructure
- Ability to write automated tests. You don't need to be a full engineer, but you need to code
- Strong instinct for edge cases, especially in data-heavy or workflow-driven products
- Healthcare, RCM, or fintech background is a strong plus. Our product touches billing logic and EMR integrations, so domain familiarity matters
- Comfortable working in a small team where you'll own your domain entirely
- Based in New York City. This role is in-person
Why Claim Health
- Ground-floor opportunity at a YC-backed startup with strong early traction
- Your work directly protects customer relationships and shapes how we scale
- Small team means real ownership and real impact from day one
- Contract-to-hire path with full-time upside if it's a great fit
