About the Role
We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright or Cypress for automating web application and API testing. The ideal candidate should be detail‑oriented, collaborative, and passionate about improving product quality through reliable and scalable automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation Development
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or Cypress.
- Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks supporting regression, functional, and integration testing.
- Develop reusable automation components to increase efficiency and test coverage.
Collaboration & QA Processes
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product owners to identify test scenarios and define clear acceptance criteria.
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and defect triage discussions.
CI/CD & Integration
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Ensure automated tests run reliably in pipeline executions and contribute to faster releases.
Test Execution & Analysis
- Analyze failed tests, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across web applications, APIs, and critical user workflows.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
Documentation & Best Practices
- Document test strategies, plans, execution results, and automation guidelines for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously improve automation standards, tools, and processes.
- Stay updated on emerging automation tools, trends, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation.
- Strong expertise in Playwright or Cypress automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript or similar scripting languages.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in Git and version control practices.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and API testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
