Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a highly experienced QC Automation to oversee and mentor the test automation team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks, collaborating across teams to identify and resolve defects, and driving continuous process improvement. Your leadership will support enterprise-wide quality initiatives, automate testing efforts, and uphold best practices to enhance product reliability and delivery efficiency.
Software Requirements
Required:
Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, and JIRA (7+ years) supporting automation frameworks
Strong programming skills in Java (latest version) and Python for developing and maintaining test scripts and frameworks
Proven experience in creating comprehensive test cases, executing tests, and defect tracking
Knowledge of automation best practices, test automation design, and process implementation
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Experience supporting application testing in agile environments
Preferred:
Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tools like Cucumber
Automation testing for performance (e.g., JMeter) or security testing frameworks
Exposure to cloud-based testing environments supporting automation (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Overall Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks supporting functional, regression, and API tests
Oversee the creation of automated test plans, scripts, and test execution across multiple projects
Conduct test result reviews, track defects, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution
Drive continuous process improvement by adopting new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies
Support CI/CD integration, automating test execution within deployment pipelines
Lead team activities including mentorship, code reviews, and skill development of automation engineers
Monitor test effectiveness, analyze metrics, and optimize test automation for performance and reliability
Document test architecture, frameworks, and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and standards compliance

Experience Requirements
7+ years of experience in automation testing within enterprise or large-scale projects supporting continuous delivery
Proven success designing and maintaining automation frameworks supporting functional, regression, and API testing
Experience leading or mentoring a testing team supporting agile delivery processes
Familiarity supporting automation in cloud or hybrid environments (preferred)
Industry experience in finance, banking, or regulated sectors is a plus
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop, enhance, and maintain test automation scripts supporting software quality initiatives
Execute automated tests, analyze results, and generate defect reports
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve automation failures, ensuring test reliability
Collaborate with development and product teams to improve test coverage and effectiveness
Support CI/CD pipeline integration forcing automated testing in deployment workflows
Lead test case reviews, code reviews, and testing standards enforcement
Monitor automation health and optimize test scripts and frameworks for performance
Document test plans, frameworks, and defect resolutions for audit and quality assurance purposes
Mentor junior automation engineers and promote best practices in automation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
7+ years experience in test automation development using Java, Selenium, and supporting CI/CD pipelines
Industry certifications in testing frameworks or automation tools (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester) are valuable
Proven track record of supporting high-quality, automated testing within enterprise environments supporting continuous delivery
