JOB POSITION

Carelon Global Solutions India is looking for a Senior Software Engineer AI with US Healthcare background with 6+ years of Programming experience in AI, LLM, FastAPI, Python, Snowflake, GenAI & CICD. Knowledge on Data Science is added advantage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Develop and maintain AI/ML models, including small and efficient language models tailored for healthcare use cases.
• Build and enhance GenAI pipelines, including data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation workflows.
• Contribute to model optimization efforts such as quantization, pruning, and distillation to improve performance and efficiency.
• Lead the design and optimization of scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake and modern tools using Airflow.
• Architect and implement secure, high-performance Snowflake solutions integrated with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver reliable data models, ensure governance, and drive CI/CD practices in data engineering using Snowflake
• Write advanced Snowflake SQL and Python scripts for data transformation, reporting, and automation.
• Implement and integrate multimodal models (e.g., text, vision, audio) using frameworks like CLIP, BLIP, or Whisper.
• Support deployment of models on cloud platforms and edge devices, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions using AI.
• Utilize LLM frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex to build intelligent applications and agents.
• Work with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma) to enable semantic search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to maintain high engineering standards.
• Stay updated with emerging AI trends and contribute to internal innovation and proof-of-concept initiatives.
   

QUALIFICATION
 

• B.E/B.Tech in Computer Sciences, IT, Engineering
   

EXPERIENCE
 

• 6+ years of Programming experience
   

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 Technical Skills:
 

• Advanced proficiency in Python with expertise in data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn) and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).- Mandatory
• Good to have knowledge on CICD Pipelines creation & Airflow
• Experience with LLM frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers and LangChain, including prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques. – Mandatory
• Hands-on with libraries such as AutoGen, CrewAI, and LangGraph, and skilled in orchestrating agent workflows using LLM-based planning, retrieval, and action chaining. – Mandatory
• Knowledge of RAG pipelines and semantic search using vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation techniques..- Mandatory
• Hands-on experience with model optimization techniques including quantization (GPTQ, AWQ), pruning, and distillation for efficient deployment.
• Proficiency in multimodal AI development, integrating text, vision, and audio using models like CLIP, BLIP, Whisper, and LLaVA.
• LLM Infrastructure & Deployment: Skilled in serving models using FastAPI, managing vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma), and building scalable inference pipelines.
• Software Engineering & Development: Strong coding practices with Python, and experience in microservices, test-driven development, and concurrency - Mandatory
• DevOps & Infrastructure: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm).
• Cloud Optimization: Familiarity with deploying AI workloads on AWS, Azure, or GCP using tools like SageMaker
• Version control and experiment tracking using Git, MLflow, and other MLOps tools for reproducibility and collaboration.
• Lead development of scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake, ensuring performance, security, and cloud integration (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Healthcare AI Applications: Understanding of healthcare-specific data modalities, privacy constraints, and domain adaptation for clinical and operational use cases.
   
• Evaluation Methodologies: Proficiency in designing benchmarks, conducting human evaluations, and applying automated metrics for model performance and safety.
