Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a highly skilled Python Developer specializing in FastAPI and microservices architecture to lead the development of scalable backend solutions. This role involves designing and implementing high-performance APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate systems, and ensuring robust, secure, and maintainable code. The developer will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior team members, and leverage emerging technologies to drive innovation and operational excellence aligned with business objectives.
Software Requirements
Required:
Extensive experience with Python (version 3.7+) for building scalable RESTful APIs.
Proven expertise with FastAPI framework for developing production-grade APIs.
Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with ORM libraries such as SQLAlchemy.
Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of cloud deployment environments, preferably AWS or Azure.
Preferred:
Exposure to Kubernetes or other container orchestrators.
Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda).
Familiarity with Python testing frameworks like pytest.
Overall Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
Collaborate with front-end teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API specifications and integration points.
Ensure APIs are secure, high-performing, and adhere to best practices in software architecture and security.
Conduct code reviews, optimize existing code, and uphold coding standards to maintain high-quality deliverables.
Automate deployment, testing, and infrastructure provisioning processes to support continuous integration and deployment.
Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize REST API endpoints for efficiency.
Document API specifications, technical designs, and operational procedures.
Evaluate new frameworks, tools, and methodologies to improve architecture and workflows.

Prior experience with containerization, CI/CD, and cloud deployment strategies.
Exposure to agile development environments and cross-functional team collaboration.
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop, test, and deploy REST APIs and backend microservices using Python and FastAPI.
Collaborate regularly with product, front-end, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Conduct code reviews, optimize code for performance, and implement security best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Automate deployment pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and testing workflows.
Monitor system health, review logs, and plan capacity enhancements.
Document APIs, architecture design, and operational procedures for ongoing support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in Python backend engineering, with a focus on API development.
Proven expertise with FastAPI and modern microservices architecture.
Experience deploying applications in cloud environments and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Industry certifications in cloud or backend technologies are a plus.
