Role Overview
As Purchasing Manager, you will lead the purchasing team and drive strategic supply chain initiatives aligned with Integer’s values and regulatory requirements. You will ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards while fostering continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Integer’s values, Quality Management Systems (QMS), FDA regulations, and company policies.
- Lead the Purchasing Team and contribute to annual Supply Chain goals and objectives.
- Execute local and corporate supply chain initiatives as outlined in the site Hoshin Plan.
- Drive continuous improvement processes across purchasing operations.
- Develop and implement individual development and succession plans for team members.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to monitor performance and development progress.
- Engage with internal customers and suppliers; support supplier reviews and audits.
- Collaborate with Operations, R&D, and Product Development teams to support new product launches.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Performance Metrics
- Safety: Number of safety observations and implemented improvements.
- People: Associate engagement and voluntary turnover rate.
- Quality: Key quality indicators.
- Delivery: On-time delivery performance.
- Inventory: Inventory days on hand, turns, ERP adoption.
- Productivity: Completion of projects and achievement of results.
- Cost Improvement: Incremental savings from continuous improvement.
- Cost Controls: Budget adherence across supply chain cost centers.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience (5–8 years) in manufacturing environments accepted.
Experience: 5–8 years in purchasing roles with leadership responsibilities. Experience in the medical industry is highly desirable.
Skills and Expertise
- Proven success in purchasing within manufacturing environments.
- Experience with Manufacturing Excellence and Lean practices.
- Background in regulated industries (medical, automotive, aerospace).
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Oracle EBS.
- Budgeting and forecasting for raw materials and purchase price variance.
- Supplier evaluation, negotiation, and risk management.
- Support for production transfers and new product introductions.
- Strong leadership and team management in fast-paced environments.
- Effective project planning and execution.
- Resilient and adaptable mindset with a commitment to success.
