Position Summary

Ferguson is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our DC Network Replenishment Team in the Integrated Planning division. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly motivated, and embraces new challenges with optimism. Location: This role is based in Newport News, VA HQ on a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in Office (T, W, Th) and 2 days Remote (M, F)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process DC-to-DC replenishment transfer purchase orders daily through the Ferguson auto replenishment system for exceptions only (all groups currently set to auto-process).
  • Review and process daily auto-process replenishment exception reports for DC-to-DC transfers.
  • Manage other DC inventory transfers to balance inventory investment and improve service through logic driven transfer processes as well as ad-hoc requests that are sent to the team to process.
  • Review and work reports to move customer sales orders from one distribution center to another to sell through non-stock inventory.
  • Execute Daily Action/Audit reports for transfer orders that were processed by the transfer team.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to buyers and management.
  • Communicate issues promptly to management.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel skills required.
  • If you are an Internal Candidate: working knowledge of Trilogie (e.g., TCL, BCM, POE, ABOD).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products - Excel and Access experience is a plus.
  • Strong research skills, including web-based research.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong math skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and branches.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Pay Range:

$2,700.00 - $5,866.30

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
