STATUS:  Full Time         

LOCATION:  Rochester, NY         

DEPARTMENT: Pulmonology

Key Responsibilities:

Provide consultation and follow up care of inpatients and outpatients in the specialty of Pulmonary Medicine/Critical Care.  Participate in the education of medical students, residents and attending physicians.

Act as attending for patients admitted to the medical intensive care unit (MICU)
     
Inpatient consultation and follow up of patients with pulmonary disease     


Consultation and follow up of outpatients with pulmonary disease     


Participation in patient care and family conferences providing information and feedback on medical issues and prognosis     


Completion of medical documentation in a timely fashion     


Provides supervision and teaching experiences for resident physicians, medical students, and other professionals.     


Maintains/expands expertise via attendance at conferences.     


Participates in departmental and hospital meetings and conferences as appropriate     


As appropriate, establishes/supervises/participates in relevant research projects     


Performs other duties as assigned by the Head, Division of Pulmonary Medicine/Critical Care.     

Minimum Qualifications:

•Completion of residency program.  
•One to two years’ experience in practice desirable.

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

•Graduation from accredited medical school program.  
•Completion of residency requirements.  
•Board certification or eligibility.  New York State license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

L - Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly; requires occasional walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
